Adrian Forsythe

Adrian Forsythe is an accomplished public speaker and advocate for the needs of people with disabilities. He currently works as the Advocacy Program Assistant at the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).  Prior to working at NDSS, Adrian had extensive work experience, including internships at the Smithsonian Institution and as a congressional intern on Capitol Hill. Among his main topics for speaking and advocacy include post secondary education, employment opportunities, and self-advocacy skills for others with disabilities. Adrian graduated from The MASON Life Program at George Mason University with concentrations in theater and communications.  He is a member of the ArtStream Board of Directors and the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County Board of Directors. An accomplished actor, Adrian has appeared in plays at George Mason University, worked backstage and joined several student theater groups. His passion for the arts shines through at ArtStream, where he participates in a theater company and leads communication and community workshops.
