Madison Essig is an NDSS DS-Ambassador from Washington, DC. She is the first student with Down syndrome to graduate with a standard diploma from Woodrow Wilson High School. Madison, along with her mother, Kimberly Templeton, and her former history teacher, Eden McCauslin, will speak about the importance of inclusion in schools. Madison will attend George Mason University’s Learning Into Future Environments (LIFE) program, which is tailored to postsecondary students with intellectual disabilities.
